There is one feature I'd like to see in future releases. Rooms should wait to autojoin channels until the user is identified by NickServ. I join a few channels that require to be identified. Staying connected for longer would need the voip mode which was not granted by Apple (see the recent blog posts) All chat rooms are then handled as "inactive" when Rooms is in background and so you will get your normal notifications depending on your own settings within Rooms (a "click" for the first new message in an inactive chat room, a "sound" on private messages or nick/word alerts). Additionally you will get a popup (local push message) for private messages or nick alerts.
